Business Description
Avirt software was originally developed in Naples, Italy in 1996, for Italian ISPs to quickly distribute Internet access with their large traffic loads. In late 1997, the company moved its headquarters to the United States. In 1999, Avirt software was acquired by Inari. Applied Technology Systems, currently based in Brighton, United Kingdom, acquired Avirt in August 2002 with plans to extend the range of Avirt's products and to expand Avirt's worldwide network of authorized resellers.
